Rizzoknor is back to China with their immersive stage blending creative visual with electronics music, supported by Pro Helvetia Shanghai, Swiss Arts Council. Knor is Georg Bleikolm, born in Lausanne Switzerland in 1981. Since 2004 he has lived in Zürich, Switzerland. The creation of the band “Rizzoknor” in 2005 sharpened his interest for electronic minimal grooves.
In 2004, the band discovered an untouched path at the crossroads of electronics and psychedelics. Like modern alchemists, Daniel, Dominique and Georg have cemented their unique brand of kraut techno over years of live experiments. Composition is seamlessly mixed with improvisation; repetitive riffs are entangled to modulating melodies that build towards epic musical gestures. Each performance transports the audience on a new trip towards the same destination: frenetic dancing.
Rizzoknor’s sound is largely inspired by heroes from the past – Grateful Deads, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, J.J. Cale and Johnny Cash, and was matured in an effervescent contemporary scene of electronic musicians between Zurich and Berlin. This band ride the underground and help to define the spirit of the most praised venues and festivals in central Europe – Fusion – Bar25 – Garbicz – Kater Blau – Lethargy to name a few.
