Drumming with Kubbe is an educational audio-visual interactive concert produced by a team of Swiss, Norwegian and Chinese artists. This concert is based on the famous illustrated children’s book, Kubbe. It unveils the creative potential in every child and animates them to make music with everyday objects and become musicians themselves.
This production covers more than 10 musical instruments in 4 categories and over 13 pieces of music of various styles. A grand world Tour of 40 concerts spanning 5 years will begin this June, which premieres at Beijing in collaboration with the West End Philharmonics.
The music is the result of an original composition by the playful and multifaceted Stephan Hodel, the Swiss composer and orchestrator who lives and works in Bern. His music has been performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Festival Strings Lucerne and the English National Ballet.
